Per the guidelines updated today by the Bay Area counties, all Bintang Badminton facilities will continue to remain CLOSED until 5/3/2020, and possibly longer. We are sad to have to be closed during this period. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and finding ways to satisfy their badminton cravings (binge-watching professional badminton matches, hitting the birdie against the wall, attempting to play in the backyard, or doing footwork in the garage?!?!). Please take care and we hope to see you all again soon!
March 16, 2020
In line with current “shelter in place” guidelines, all Bintang Badminton facilities will be CLOSED completely effective immediately until 4/7/2020, and possibly longer. We are sad to have to close, but this is what needs to be done at this pressing time to keep our communities safe. We will post updates here and we look forward to reopening soon! If you need to reach us at this time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Because the health and safety of our customers, staff, and the entire community supercedes all else, Bintang Badminton is taking extra precautionary measures during this time to adhere to the social distancing guidelines coming from CDC and all levels of the government.
Bintang Badminton will be closed to the public for open gym (members and drop-in guests) as follows:
– Campbell, from today 3/15/2020 until 3/31/2020
– Dublin, from tomorrow 3/16/2020 until 3/31/2020
– Milpitas, from today 3/15/2020 until 3/31/2020
– San Carlos, from tomorrow 3/16/2020 until 3/31/2020
– South San Francisco, continue to close until 3/31/2020
– Sunnyvale, from today 3/15/2020 until 3/31/2020
We sincerely apologize to our members and please know that we will extend any memberships that are affected. For any questions or concerns, please email us at email@example.com.
We strongly believe that through these actions, we can significantly reduce the amount of social interaction and avoid large gatherings. We understand this is an inconvenience to many, as to ourselves. And as difficult a decision as it is, we strongly feel that it is the responsible and the right thing to do at this time.
Please stay healthy and safe and we hope to be back soon.

The San Mateo resident updated us today that he has recovered from Covid-19 and has been approved by his doctor to be discharged from the hospital. We are extremely happy about the good news.
March 2, 2020
A San Mateo resident confirmed on March 2, 2020, that he is presumptive positive for Covid-19 and still waiting for CDC’s test result. This individual has reached out to all the places that he remembers visiting. He notified us that he last visited Bintang SSF on Feb 21, before he was exhibiting any symptoms. As a safety precaution, Bintang is closing the SSF facility to disinfect and deep clean. The facility will be closed March 2-16, 2020. Our team is also reaching out to San Mateo Health Department and the CDC to find out what protocol should be followed. This individual only visited the Bintang SSF location, so none of our other locations are at any risk of exposure and will remain open as normal. We will keep everyone updated via our website and Facebook page.
Please note, the article states:
“The CDC’s guidance indicates that people who have had casual
contact with a case (e.g., in the same shop or restaurant) are at
minimal risk of developing infection.”
